Abstract

The state, trends, and prospects for changes in the agrarian crisis in Ukraine in wartime conditions have been studied. Ukraine's agriculture is an important source of livelihood for approximately 13 million Ukrainians living in rural areas. Although about two-thirds of agricultural output is produced by enterprises, rural households produce about 32 percent.

The war's impact on the wider production system, characterized by disruption of value and supply chains and price volatility, had consequences for the rural population, highlighting their interdependence with the country's agricultural economy. Although the effects of the war are more visible in the oblasts (regions) along the front line, they are also widely felt in the rest of the country.

Today, the government of Ukraine is taking unprecedented steps to optimize resources to support farming. Railway carriers are doing everything possible to export Ukrainian agricultural products and import the necessary resources back home. There are plans to abolish duties on the import of agricultural products. Measures are also being taken to make fuel cheaper for landing and logistics companies. That alone is a huge help.
